GAME DESIGN ADVANCE is a blog that centers around development, culture, and scholarship as it relates to games and game design. The contributors are students, academics, and professionals working in the New York City area and typically have some connection to NYU’s Interactive Telecommunication’s Department. A freelance game designer working in New York City, he is currently working on an independent iPhone/iPod Touch game. He is also the Game Designer of MTV Arcade’s Wishful Leap of the Ninja and Level Designer for Adult Swim’s Viva Caligula. He is also an Adjunct Professor at NYU teaching Game Studies.

FRANK LANTZ (Founder)
A professional Game Designer in the truest sense of the word, Frank has designed dozens of successful games as well as articulated a whole new genre, ‘Big Games’, while teaching at New York University. He is currently the Co-Founder and Creative Director of the cross-media design company area/code, which has just released their first iPhone game, Drop7.
